FU Bojie
Academician, Professor
Fu Bojie, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences, and Fellow of Royal Society of Edinburgh. He is the researcher in the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the CAS (RCEES), Dean of the Faculty of Geographic Sciences of Beijing Normal University, Director of the Geosciences Division of CAS, Director of the Department of Earth Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and leaders of other national organizations. He focuses on landscape ecology and physical geography research, and has achieved systematic innovations in land use structure and ecological processes, landscape ecology and ecosystem services. He has published over 400 papers, among which 250 were published in SCI journals covering Science, Nature Geoscience and Nature Climate Change, and 10 books. He has won the National Natural Science Award (2nd Class), the National Science and Technology Progress Award (2nd Class), the Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award of the CAS, and Science and Technology Award from the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation. He is the editor-in-chief for Chinese Geographical Science, Landscape Ecology, Landscape and Urban Planning, Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability, etc.

LIU Congqiang
Academician, Professor
Professor Congqiang Liu is the Dean and a Distinguished Professor at the School of Earth System Science, Tianjin University. A preeminent geochemist, he was elected as an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2011), a Fellow of the Geochemical Society (2016), and a Foreign Member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (2017). Since the late 1990s, Professor Liu has pioneered research in trace element and isotope geochemistry, achieving original breakthroughs in geofluid processes, mantle enrichment, and the mechanisms of water-particle interactions in surface watersheds. Notably, he spearheaded China’s systematic study and management of karst rocky desertification, leading major national initiatives such as the “973” Program. As a visionary leader in Earth’s Critical Zone (ECZ) science, he organized China’s first international ECZ symposium and continues to drive the field forward through the establishment of the Bohai Sea Coastal ECZ National Field Observatory. Currently, he leads a major research program focused on the structures and ecological functions of coastal Earth systems, further advancing the global understanding of Earth system science.

CHEN Deliang
Academician, Professor
Chen Deliang is an internationally renowned climatologist, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, member of the International Science Council, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Royal Academy of Arts and Arts of Gothenburg, the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, and a foreign academician of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. He is currently the Head/Professor of the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University. He has long focused on research into climate change and its impacts on water resources and the ecological environment and is an internationally renowned expert and pioneer in climate downscaling models, enjoying a very high international reputation. He has long been committed to promoting international scientific cooperation, playing a particularly important role in the Swedish and Chinese geoscience communities. He served as a lead author and coordinating lead author for Working Group I of the IPCC Fifth and Sixth Assessment Reports, and as an editor for several international academic journals.

GUO Renzhong
Academician, Professor
Prof. Renzhong Guo is a professor and doctor in geographic information engineering, and an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and International Eurasian Academy of Sciences. In recent years, Prof. Guo has led the team to focus on the research and development of smart city platform technology based on virtual city environment and urban big data, which is the most frontier direction of geographic information technology.

YEH Anthony G.O.
Academician, Professor
Prof. Anthony G.O. is an urban planner, geographic information scientist, and urban geographer. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences, an academician of the British Academy of Social Sciences, and an academician of the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences. Prof Anthony G.O. Yeh is currently the Chan To Haan Professor in Urban Planning and Design and Chair Professor in Urban Planning and Geographic Information Systems of the Department of Urban Planning and Design and Director of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Research Centre of The University of Hong Kong. His main areas of specialization are the applications of geographic information systems in urban and regional planning and smart cities and urban planning and development in Hong Kong, China, and SE Asia. Prof Yeh has been Founding Secretary-General of the Asian Planning Schools Association (APSA), Founding Secretary-General of Asia Geographic Information System Association.

cHANG yung ho
Professor
Professor Yung Ho Chang is the Founding Partner and Principal Architect of Atelier Feichang Jianzhu (FCJZ). Educated both in China and in the US, Professor Chang received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1984. He has been practising in China since 1992, and established FCJZ with Lijia Lu in 1993. He has received a number of prizes and recognitions, such as First Place in the Shinkenchiku Residential Design Competition in 1986, Progressive Architecture Citation Award in 1996, UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts in 2000, Academy Award in Architecture from American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2006, China Architecture Media Award Excellence in Practice Prize 2016. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Honorary Member of AIA Hong Kong. FCJZ has been recognised as one of the 100+ Best Architecture Firms 2019 by Domus magazine. The Jishou Art Museum, designed by FCJZ, won the AIA 2020 Architecture Award and the ArchDaily China Building of the Year 2020 Award.

SHEN Max Z.J.
Academician, Professor
Prof. Max Z.J. Shen is the Chair Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Internationally recognized as a top scholar in his field, Professor Shen is a Fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), a Fellow of the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences, and a former President of POMS. Prof. Shen’s research interests include integrated supply chain design and management, data driven logistics and supply chain optimization, design and analysis of optimization algorithms, energy systems optimization, and transportation system planning.

gONG peng
Professor
Professor Gong is a foreign member of the Academia Europaea and a member of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences. He is currently the vice-president and pro-vice-chancellor (academic development) of the University of Hong Kong. He was Founding Editor-in-Chief of Geographic Information Sciences (now Annals of GIS). He advises Future Earth, an international network of scientists, researchers, and innovators. He also serves on the International Advisory Board of The Lancet and as a member of the Earth Commission, a global team of scientists working for the sustainable development goals. Professor Gong has an outstanding record in recruitment, innovative organization, and motivation of cross-disciplinary talents. He co-founded the Center for Assessment and Monitoring of Forest and Environmental Resources at UC Berkeley, and built China’s first Earth System Science Institute at Nanjing University.

TAYLOR david mark

Professor David Mark Taylor is the Head of the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS). His research focus includes human dimensions of environmental change, climate change, environmental pollution, and the impact of pollution on natural systems. He also holds a reputation for conducting research and teaching on environmental issues and field investigations.
